Ignition Bermuda to Acquire Fireminds

The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The combined company will now consist of 83 employees all working under the Ignition brand, across its offices in its Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Halifax and Atlanta.

The company will serve the local markets as well as the Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Curacao.

Ignition customers in Bermuda and overseas will now be able to benefit from expanded managed hosting options with access to Fireminds secure virtual hosting environment, which provides production and disaster recovery solutions.

Fireminds customers will benefit from Ignition 24hour help desk services, network monitoring and managed IT support.

Both companies will provide managed hosting from data centers in Bermuda, Canada and the Caribbean, as well as expand their SharePoint and Records Management practice.

After working together on previous projects, Ignition CEO Graham Pearson and Fireminds president and Ignition new SVP Michael Branco entered discussions regarding the deal three months ago.
